McCarter & English LLP has added Theodore M. Grannatt and Gaytri D. Kachroo as partners in corporate and international practices in its Boston office. Grannatt joins the firm as a partner in the international, corporate, and securities and financial institutions practice groups. Most recently, Grannatt has been the U.S. securities counselor for a number of non-U.S. issuers privately placing securities into the United States for financing or strategic acquisition purposes. Prior to joining McCarter & English, Grannatt was a member of the corporate practice group at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo PC. Kachroo joins the firm as a partner in the same practice groups as Grannatt. Prior to joining McCarter & English, Kachroo was a partner at the law firm of Burns & Levinson LLP.
EDI Specialists of Raynham has hired industry veteran James Fabiano as executive vice president, through the acquisition of Fabiano’s former company, Premier Resource Group. Fabiano is responsible for the execution of the company’s strategic planning and business development expansion. Fabiano and PRG’s expertise and resources will be added to EDI Specialists’ Key IT division offerings, which include staffing services for IT technologies. Prior to Premier Resource group, Fabiano was COO of Sullivan & Cogliano. Previously he worked as an executive vice president at TAC Worldwide Inc. for 26 years.

Boston-based AgencyPort Insurance Services, a provider of web-based solutions for property and casualty insurers, has named Don Chase as senior vice president of business development. Most recently, Chase served as vice president of the insurance practice at Swingtide, an IT consulting firm. Prior to Swingtide, Chase was co-founder and executive vice president of AscendantOne, a provider of ISO rating services and policy administration Systems. Chase worked for IBM for 15 years in systems engineering and sales, ultimately leading to a position in system engineering management.

Eloqua Corp. of Virginia has named Brian Kardon as chief marketing officer, working out of the company’s Boston office. Kardon was most recently CMO of Forrester Research. Prior to Forrester Research, Kardon was president of First Act Inc., a designer and manufacturer of children’s musical instruments, and executive vice president of business development and marketing at HomePortfolio. Earlier in his career, he was senior vice president and CMO of Reed Business Information, a billion-dollar publisher, and director at Braxton Associates, a unit of Deloitte Consulting.
Clean tech
Koch Membrane Systems Inc. of Wilmington has hired Derek Hibbard as the new Central and Northeastern U.S. sales manager for its food, dairy and beverage group. Hibbard brings to the company more than 11 years of project and technical sales experience in the area of membrane filtration systems and fluid processing facilities. Most recently, Hibbard was vice president of Membrane System Specialists Inc. and responsible for project development and technical support, predominantly in dairy and food manufacturing applications.
Life sciences
Matt Tondreault has been promoted to validation manager at Chelmsford-based testing firm Biometrix Inc., replacing David Crockford, who will transition to a role focused on computer systems validation. Tondreault has been with Biometrix since 2005, and has eight years of experience in the FDA-regulated environment. Previously, he worked for a startup drug contract-manufacturing company where he led the manufacturing team and oversaw the validation/commissioning of their new facility. He has extensive experience in the validation of and cycle development for autoclaves.
