DynaTrace names Van Siclen CEO
By Mass High Tech Staff
DynaTrace Software Inc. has announced its appointment of John Van Siclen as CEO of the performance management software company. Van Siclen will be responsible for growing the company’s sales and market presence in lifecycle application performance management.
Former CEO Bernd Greifeneder will operate as chief technology officer and will lead dynaTrace’s product development team in Austria.
Prior to joining dynaTrace, Van Siclen had worked as CEO of Interwoven, Adesso Systems and Perspecta (acquired by Excite@Home). He also held executive positions at Informix and NetFRAME Systems.
DynaTrace, which now employs 75 workers, launched its first software in 2006. Customers are mostly financial services companies, independent software vendors and software-as-a-service companies, officials said.
In August, dynaTrace reported that it had closed $12.9 million in Series B financing, led by Bay Partners and Bain Capital Ventures. The company said it plans to use the capital to expand the company’s sales, marketing and business development. The funding increases dynaTrace’s total venture capital to nearly $18 million.
