What companies are moving, staying or relocating?

Atlas Venture has renewed its lease for an 18,506-square-foot office space at 890 Winter St. in Waltham. The venture capital firm invests in early stage technology and life sciences businesses. 

Built in 1999, 890 Winter St. is a three-story, 173,000-square-foot class A building located in the Waltham Woods Corporate Center. Boston-based Colliers Meredith and Grew’s executive vice president James Elcock and associate John Dolan III represented Atlas. Partner Michael Frisoli and vice president Jay Nugent of Boston-based Richards Barry Joyce and Partners LLC represented ING Clarion Inc., the building’s landlord.



Electrochem Solutions Inc. is relocating from its smaller location in Canton to a new $30 million, 82,000-square-foot “green” manufacturing facility. The 20-acre site is located in Raynham and will provide 230 jobs focusing on manufacturing, engineering, and research and development, according to company reports.

The building’s green initiatives include high efficiency lighting, heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, high efficiency building automation and control systems, and a 10,000-square-foot “green” roof covered in desert plants. The roof is designed to reduce storm water runoff while improving heating and cooling energy usage of the building.

Electrochem is a subsidiary and the commercial agent of Clarence, N.Y.-based Greatbatch Ltd. Electrochem provides technology solutions for critical industrial applications. Greatbatch is a developer and manufacturer of products used in implantable medical devices for the cardiac rhythm management, neuromodulation, vascular and orthopedic markets. Erland Construction of Burlington built the new facility, designed by M-E Engineering from Buffalo, N.Y., in combination with Palmisano Architecture of Buffalo and Maugel Architects of Ayer. Paramount Development of Framingham owns Raynham Woods.
 



Astec America Inc. leased 9,349 square feet of office space on the second floor of 225 Cedar Hill St. in Marlborough. Astec is a division of California-based power supply company Emerson Network Power. Senior vice president John Carroll III of Boston-based Colliers Meredith and Grew represented Astec in the lease. President Scott Hughes and associate John Hughes of Framingham-based New Dover Associates Inc. represented the building’s Marlborough-based landlord, CIL Cedar LLC.


Resolve Technology has relocated its headquarters from Boston in a 6,979-square-foot lease at 300 First Ave. in Needham. The company’s new headquarters is located in a three-story, 75,000-square-foot class A office building.

Resolve was represented by senior associate Michael O’Leary of Boston-based DTZ FHO Partners. Boston-based Colliers Meredith and Grew executive vice president James Elcock and vice president Elias Demakes represented Three Hundred Realty Trust, the landlord.



Norwood-based Caritas Norwood Hospital has leased 12,000 square feet of medical and office space at The Campus at Chestnut Green in Foxborough.

The location is a 93-acre redevelopment project of the former Foxborough State Hospital that will include more than 100,000 square feet of office space, 60,000 square feet of retail space and over 200 housing units once completed.

Associate Cal Hudak of Boston-based Richards Barry Joyce and Partners LLC represented the building’s Boston-based landlord, VinCo Properties Inc. Senior vice president Robert Cronin and associate William Lynch of Boston-based Colliers Meredith and Grew represented the hospital. 



CR Electronics Inc. purchased 27,000 square feet of industrial and warehouse space from Arlington-based Graybar Enterprises Inc. at 139 Folly Mill Road in Seabrook, N.H. CR Electronics is a provider of network solutions to small businesses. The company also custom configures personal computers.

Joseph Kane of The Kane Co. in Portsmouth, N.H., listed the property and procured the buyer.


Boston-Power Inc. leased 20,519 square feet of office space at 2200 West Park Drive in Westborough. The deal is a 12,042-square-foot expansion and long-term extension for the company. Boston-Power focuses on technology for lithium-ion batteries, typically used to power devices such as laptop computers, PDAs and mobile phones.

The 74,590-square-foot, first class office building is located in Westborough Office Park. Boston-based CresaPartners principal David Ross represented Boston-Power. Vice president and director of leasing for Boston-based KS Partners LLC, with the assistance of senior vice president and partner Robert McGuire of Boston-based CB Richard Ellis, represented the landlord, KS Partners.



North Andover Pediatrics signed a 10-year lease for 7,044 square feet of office space at Jefferson Office Park, 790-800 Turnpike St. in North Andover. The firm moved from 820 Turnpike St.

Landlord KS Partners LLC represented itself with the help of its vice president and director of leasing Jim Grady. Boston-based Colliers Meredith & Grew’s senior vice president Matthew Daniels and associate Mike Zieja represented North Andover Pediatrics.
