By Mass High Tech Staff

Interactive media company Mad*Pow reports it has partnered with Bentley College’s Design and Usability Center.

Under the deal, the Mad*Pow’s clients will have access to consultants at the DUC. Mad*Pow said it will be implementing DUC consulting input into its designs for clients.

Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. Michael Hawley, vice president of experience design at Mad*Pow, holds a master’s degree in human factors from Bentley, and was central to establishing the partnership, the company said.

Portsmouth, N.H.-based Mad*Pow was founded in 2000. The company said it’s services include e-business strategy, market research, user research, task flow analysis, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and interactive media production. The company’s clients include Monster Worldwide Inc., McKesson Corp., Fidelity Investments, the Timberland Co., Aetna Inc., Autodesk Inc., and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc.

In February, Bentley’s Center for Marketing Technology struck up a similar partnership with Salem, Mass.-based multimedia marketing company King Fish Media. As part of the deal, King Fish uses focus group rooms, consumer usage studies and analytic labs at the center. In return, King Fish promotes the center on its website and marketing materials.

The DUC at Bentley in Waltham is a human factors research, design and testing consultancy.
