Report: Startup Tradual takes on $2.4M in first VC funding

Tradual Inc. reports garnering $2.4 million of a $4 million Series A round.

Boston-based Tradual, which was founded in May, is a social media company focused on the foreign currency exchange marketplace, according to published reports.

North Bridge Venture Partners, which operates an office in Waltham, led the financing. As part of the deal, North Bridge partner Jeff Beir is taking a board seat.

Avshalom Leventhal is listed as the company president and Asaf Yidgal, former director of professional services for Littleton-based Akorri Inc., is the director, according to a filing with the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s office.

Executives include Dave Lemont, former CEO of Burlington-based AppIQ Inc., website PE Hub reported. AppIQ was acquired by Hewlett-Packard Co. for $280 million in 2005.
