The contract — financial details of which were not released — covers Lexington-based IL’s portfolio of critical care analyzers, reagents and consumables, as well as service. Broadlane will get access to IL’s flagship products, including the new GEM Premier4000 and the GEM Premier 3000 analyzers for blood gas, electrolyte and metabolite testing, the new GEMweb Plus information management system for the GEM analyzers, GEM PCL Plus, a portable coagulation analyzer and GEM OPL, a portable CO-Oximeter.
Broadlane, based in Dallas, has among its clients more than 915 acute care hospitals, more than 2,600 sub-acute care facilities and more than 18,000 physician practices, according to officials.
Founded in 1959, Instrumentation Laboratory is a worldwide developer, manufacturer and distributor of in vitro diagnostic instruments, related reagents and controls for use primarily in hospitals and independent laboratories. The company is a unit of Werfen Group IVD, a global health-care corporation based in Barcelona, Spain.
