Cortria names Grau, King to lead pharma

Cortria Corp., a pharmaceutical company for cardiovascular disease, has announced two new executive appointments, making Daniel Grau its CEO and vice-chairman and naming Richard King as a new director.
Grau joins Cortria from a previous role as COO of CombinatoRx Inc. (Nasdaq: CRXX) and a current role on advisory boards for Concert Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Hygeia Therapeutics.
King served previously as president and COO of Tercica Inc. and executive vice president of commercial operations at Kos Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Cortria is a Boston-based clinical-stage pharmaceutical company, funded by Domain Associates and MVM Life Sciences, to develop treatments for cardiovascular disease. Its TRIA-662, in phase 2 clinical stage currently, is a treatment for dyslipidemia, a disorder noted by abnormal lipid levels in the bloodstream.
