By Mass High Tech Staff

Directory assistance service provider Jingle Networks Inc. reported that it is relocating its California headquarters to Bedford and consolidating its business after replacing its CEO with founder Scott Kliger.

Jingle Networks, founded in Burlington in 2005, also revealed that it reached profitability during the second quarter. The company, which provides free directory assistance supported by advertisers, has also attracted 130,000 paying advertisers, officials said.

Jingle, which has reportedly raised nearly $75 million in venture capital, does business through its toll-free 1-800-FREE-411. It was founded by Tom Latinovich and Kliger, previously the company’s CTO.

During the third quarter, Jingle is projecting to answer its 500 millionth phone call and reach more than 1 billion in call advertisements, officials said.

Jingle’s advertisers include McDonald’s Corp., Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Ford Motor Co.
