Israeli enterprise data integration software firm Attunity Ltd., which operates a U.S. headquarters in Burlington, reported that its shareholders approved the appointment of chairman Shimon Alon as the company’s CEO.
Alon was previously CEO of Precise Software Solutions Inc., a provider of application performance management software. Following the acquisition of Precise by Veritas Software Corp. in 2003, Alon served as an executive advisor to Veritas.
Before Precise Software, Alon held several positions at Israel-based Scitex Corp. Ltd. and its subsidiaries including president and CEO of Scitex America and managing director of Scitex Europe.
Attunity (OTC: ATTUF) provides enterprise-class software directly and indirectly through a number of strategic and OEM agreements with partners such as Hewlett-Packard Co., IBM Corp., Oracle Corp., Business Objects Inc. and Cognos Inc.
In January, Attunity signed a nearly $3 million deal with Microsoft Corp. to include its Attunity Connect adapter software in Microsoft’s SQL Server 2008. Attunity reported a 2007 net loss of $6.9 million on revenue of $12.2 million.
