Woolf joins Covington Associates

Specialty investment banking firm Covington Associates LLC reports it has brought on board Diane Woolf as a principal, focusing on the business services, consumer and industrial, health care and technology markets.
Prior to joining Boston-based Covington, Woolf structured, negotiated and raised startup capital for several companies and served as interim CFO for four startup organizations. Previously she ran the private placement group at Tucker Anthony Sutro and was a vice president in the private capital groups at Robertson Stephens and BancBoston Securities.
Woolf started her career as a CPA with Coopers & Lybrand.
Among the technology deals Covington has been involved in recently are the $1.3 billion sale of Digitas Inc. to Publicis Groupe SA in December 2006 and the sale of Intelligent Compression Technologies Inc. for $55 million to ViaSat Inc. in February 2007.
