GamerDNA buys 360voice.com parent
Just weeks after completing a $3 million Series A financing, online gaming social networking company GamerDNA Inc. says that it has acquired It Can Talk Inc., a Chicago company that runs a community website for the Xbox 360 gaming console, 360voice.com.
According to GamerDNA CEO and founder Jon Radoff, the founders of It Can Talk will relocate to GamerDNA's Cambridge offices to become a part of the GamerDNA team. Trapper Markelz, CEO of It Can Talk, will become vice president of products for GamerDNA.
The site 360voice.com uses software that "autoblogs" about an Xbox owner's gameplay, and allows players to challenge each other in competitions for real prizes, according to GamerDNA officials.
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. GamerDNA, which changed its name earlier this month from GuildCafe Entertainment Inc., had in November 2007 acquired Uberguilds, a network of popular MMORPG community websites.
GamerDNA, founded in 2006 as Sparkforge Entertainment Inc., is funded by Flybridge Capital Partners.
