Neurogen names two C-level execs
Neurogen Corp., a drug developer creating treatments for insomnia, anxiety and Parkinson's disease, among other maladies, named two biotech execs to new C-level positions.
Branford, Conn.-based small-molecule biotech company Neurogen (Nasdaq: NRGN) said Dr. Srdjan "Serge" Stankovic has joined the company as executive vice president and chief development officer, and Dr. Thomas Pitler has moved into an expanded role as senior vice president and chief business and financial officer.
Stankovic joins Neurogen from Cephalon Inc. of Frazier, Pa., where he was vice president of worldwide clinical research, Neurogen officials said.
The two roles are expected to help the company expand its clinical development portfolio in new areas beyond the company's products to treat insomnia, anxiety, Parkinson's disease and restless legs syndrome, according to Stephen R. Davis, Neurogen's president and CEO.
