Mass High Tech wins General Excellence award from SABEW
Mass High Tech has won a national business journalism award from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW). MHT was awarded a certificate of merit for general excellence in the business weekly category.
In awarding MHT with a certificate of merit for general excellence among its weekly newspaper peers, SABEW judges said, "Mass High Tech exemplifies strong coverage of a niche industry that's important to the local economy -- technology in New England. It features lively, newsy writing that quickly engages the reader with the point and importance of the stories. Insightful enterprise and analysis pieces focus on the concerns of the target audience and seem to advance the debate over key issues and events. Good design, layout and packaging."
MHT's sister publication, the Boston Business Journal, was a winner in the SABEW general excellence category in the business weekly category.
The SABEW award is MHT's first-ever national journalism award. In February, MHT took home first place for overall design in the weekly 2 category at the New England Press Association's annual Better Newspaper Contest.
Both MHT and the BBJ are owned by American City Business Journals.
