Report: IlluminOss takes on $11M in round two funding

IlluminOss Medical Inc. has raised $11.02 million in Series B funding, according to published reports.

IlluminOss Medical, which is based in East Providence, R.I., develops medical devices for the treatment of bone fractures.

Investors included New Leaf Ventures, a venture capital firm with operations in New York City and California, and Rowayton, Conn.-based Foundation Medical Partners, according to the website PE Hub.

Last year, IlluminOss Medical reportedly closed on $925,000 of a $2.68 million Series A financing round led by Foundation Medical Partners.

IlluminOss CEO Robert Rabiner previously held CEO roles of Wilmington-based OmniSonics Medical Technologies Inc. and Selva Medical Inc., a medical device company previously located in Belmont, Calif.
