Cape envirotech firm lands $2.5M in first funding

Environmental Operating Solutions Inc. has closed a $2.5 million Series A round of venture capital, officials report.

The environmental technology company makes wastewater denitrification products intended to be safer, more cost-effective, and more environmentally friendly. The company said it plans to use the funding, from Stuart Mill Venture Partners of Virginia, to expand its operations and commercialize its products.

EOS worked with the Regional Technology Development Corp. of Cape Cod to secure the financing. The Woods Hole-based business development organization, which is funded by the state and by the John Adams Innovation Institute, said the funding would also lead to new technology jobs for the Cape.

EOS, which is based in Bourne, employs four people.
