Micronetics unit wins $1.2M satellite deal

Micronetics Inc. reports its subsidiary Mica Microwave Inc. has landed a $1.2 million order from an unnamed aerospace integrator.

Under the order, Mica will supply a combination of microwave mixers, isolators and limiters for use on a space satellite application. The order is expected to ship over a one-year period.

Micronetics (Nasdaq: NOIZ), a Hudson, N.H., is a manufacturer of microwave and radio frequency components used in defense, aerospace and commercial applications.

In December 2007, another Micronetics subsidiary, Microwave Concepts Inc., landed a $1 million deal with an unnamed defense integrator to provide a microwave assembly to be used in an airborne electronic warfare system.

Micronetics reported a 2007 net income of $1 million on revenue of $23.7 million.
