DRC wins a chunk of a $5B defense health-care IT contract
Dynamics Research Corp. landed a contract to work on a $5 billion evaluation, analysis, management and support program for Tricare, the U.S. military's health care plan, the company reports.
Dynamics Research (Nasdaq: DRCO) is one of 22 companies named as contract winners by the office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract is for one year, with nine option years.
The amount of DRC's portion of the deal was not available.
Under the contract, the Andover defense-sector IT services company will provide support for policy development, decision support, program and project management and administration, as well as specialized studies and analysis, performance-based budgeting, financial analysis, business process improvement, functional validation and verification, information management, acquisition management and logistical support.
Dynamics Research reported a 2006 net income of $4.1 million on revenue of $259 million.
