Navy gives $5M nod to Rite-Solutions for new design tools

Nutmeg State engineering company Rite-Solutions Inc. reports signing a $4.98 million contract from the Office of Naval Research to develop a new design process that better integrates people with systems and technology.

The four-year contract teams Rite-Solutions of Pawcatuck, Conn., with MIT, General Dynamics Electric Boat of Groton, ASSETT Inc. of Manassas, Va., and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, R.I.

According to officials, the team will develop a system to support substantial reductions in operating costs of future naval ships, aircraft and systems, as well as increasing operational effectiveness, and helping managed the technological risk associated with introducing new technologies.

Rite-Solutions is an employee-owned small business focused on information technology and engineering solutions for government and commercial customers. The company is involved in everything from systems engineering to game design.
