BlueNote works with RSA on secure VoIP services
BlueNote Networks Inc. reports joining the RSA Security Secured Partner Program as way to collaborate and deliver a more secure telenetworking system.
By joining RSA's program, Tewksbury-based BlueNote, which makes business communications platforms for real-time interactive communications, gains access to RSA's two-factor authentication product for users accessing corporate voice services over the Internet, company officials said.
RSA is the Bedford-based security division of Hopkinton's EMC Corp. The interoperability between BlueNote SessionSuite and RSA SecurID helps identify nomadic users, such as teleworkers, who attempt to access enterprise communication services, officials said.
BlueNote was founded in 2004 after former Fidelity Ventures partner and WaveSmith Networks Inc. executive Tom Burkardt responded to a project search by Fidelity Investments of Boston, which was looking to create a global voice system it could integrate into all of its locations and collaboration applications.
The company has raised nearly $30 million from investors including Fidelity Ventures, North Bridge Venture Partners and Commonwealth Venture Partners, both of Waltham. Craig Benson, former New Hampshire governor and co-founder of Cabletron Systems Inc. is also an investor.
