Participants will be judged by a panel of New Hampshire technology industry veterans, including Dick Morley, an investor in various companies and inventor of the Programmable Logic Controller; Bob McCray, an angel investor in more than 35 companies in the area; and Charles Hutchinson, founder of Lebanon, N.H.-based GlycoFi Inc. and former dean of engineering at Dartmouth University.
The finalists are:
- The e-100 broadband service optimization platform from Merrimack's Ellacoya Networks Inc.
- Rapid Data Management System, which allows for the rapid collection and analysis of data in disconnected, disaster-stricken environments, from Portsmouth's Global Relief Technologies LLC.
- The portable Powermax30 plasma arc cutting system from Hypertherm Inc. of Hanover.
- A real-time head-impact telemetry system for measuring the biomechanical causes of mild traumatic brain injuries from Simbex LLC in Lebanon.
- UltraVision Security Systems Inc. of Auburn's UltraSensor security motion detector.
The winner will be determined based on judges' votes as well as audience votes at a Nov. 13 event at the Radisson Center of New Hampshire in Manchester.
