Schwartz opens office across the pond

Waltham PR firm Schwartz Communications Inc., which provides services primarily to technology and life sciences clients, has announced plans to open a new office in London.

The office is expected to open in October 2007, and managed by Nigel Smith, a 14-year Schwartz veteran.

Schwartz was founded in 1990 by the husband-and-wife team of Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz and employs more than 200 people across three offices -- Waltham, San Francisco and Sweden.

Among the company's local client list are Kiva Systems Inc., Woburn; Nuance Communications Inc., Burlington; Lycos Inc., Waltham; and Netezza Corp., Framingham.
