MIMC fetes technology leaders at 6th annual Leadership Awards
The Massachusetts Interactive Media Council (MIMC) announced the winners of its Sixth Annual Leadership Awards at a ceremony last night at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge. Six awards were presented, including a Lifetime Achievement award to Bob Metcalfe, inventor of Ethernet.
Adrian Slywotzky, co-author of the book "How to Grow When Markets Don't" and a senior partner at Mercer Management Consulting, delivered the keynote address.
"The Annual Leadership Awards honor individuals and companies that have played a significant role in the development and advancement of technology," said Leslie Cushing, executive director of MIMC, in a statement. "Our panel of judges reviewed many nominations to select this year's award winners - all leaders who continue to provide the industry with leadership, innovation and cutting edge technology."
This year's award winners include:
- Lifetime Achievement: Bob Metcalfe, partner, Polaris Venture Partners and inventor of Ethernet
- CEO of the Year: George Colony, chairman and CEO, Forrester Research
- Company of the Year: Emptoris
- Most Innovative Company: Captivate Network
- Entrepreneur of the Year: Francis deSouza, IMlogic
- Contribution to Society: Harbinger Partners
