Women to Watch nomination form
Nomination have closed. Stay tuned for an announcement of winners.
Mass High Tech is accepting nominations for its 2012 Women to Watch program, in which New England women from fields such as biotech, telecom, software, electronics, sustainable energy, nanotech, medical devices and IT will be honored for their contributions to their technology sectors and their ongoing role as leaders in their communities. This will be the ninth year of the Women to Watch awards. Read about past years' honorees.
You know these women. They are go-getters, bright, innovative, inspirational to others and highly motivated. They have a record of accomplishment and are up-and-coming in their careers. They will shape the future of their industries, and they serve as role-models for girls.
Honorees typically have:
* At least five years of managerial or technical experience in technology, Internet or science-related business, or have been working on academic research leading to commercialization of tech-based products or services. A candidate may be a CEO or a leader on the rise in their organization.
* An engineering or science degree.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities, whether reflected in proven business results with a project or new technology; ability to mobilize teams; use of innovative approaches to solve complex technology or business problems; or an active role in the community or as a mentor.
* The ability to think creatively and develop new business opportunities based on technology.
* If within academia, have worked on research that has been or soon will be commercialized.
Nominations will be reviewed by an advisory committee, and those individuals chosen to be recognized will be notified early in 2012. An awards reception will be held in the spring of 2012.
