The New England Technology Stock Index (NETSI) provides a snapshot view of the performance of the region’s publicly traded companies in the technology sector. Additionally, NETSI indicates how certain segments of this sector are performing relative to the performance of other regional and national indices at any given time.
The Mass High Tech/Bentley University New England Stock Index was officially launched on March 15, 2001. The index was originally composed of 181 technology companies situated in New England with a stock price of at least $1 and a minimum market capitalization of $100 million. The index is rebalanced semi-annually, and the performance is reported daily as part of the business report on the New England Cable News (NECN) Network. See the companies that comprise the Index
