Dyax trims pipeline, cuts 60 jobs to focus on DX-88

Cambridge-based drug developer Dyax Corp. reports it is planning to eliminate 60 jobs, just days after it announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is looking for more information about its lead product candidate, DX-88, before it can approve the drug.

North Bridge pours $6.5M into Aushon BioSystems

Aushon BioSystems Inc., a microarray-based tool developer in Billerica, has landed $6.5 million in financing solely from North Bridge Venture Partners to apply to the company's recent purchase of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.’s SearchLight Protein Array business.

NYSE delisting possibility plagues Interleukin

Genetic biomarker maker Interleukin Genetics Inc. continues to face being delisted from the NYSE Amex LLC stock exchange after New York Stock Exchange did not accept a plan filed by the Waltham-based company in January to regain listing compliance.

MHT's Marc Songini writes: There are some merits to our rapidly emerging Net-enabled Big Brother surveillance state. The Center for Connected Health uses technology to supplement traditional health care processes and create superior outcomes, and it's found that by using an online diabetic monitoring system, patients were more likely to stick to their prescribed routines — and in turn, this led to better glucose management.
