The Herald reports Evergreen Solar has agreed to spend about $1.5 million on noise-reduction measures at its Devens solar panel-manufacturing plant so it can continue its 24 hour operations.
As a result, the Devens Enterprise Commission extended the plant’s occupancy through October.
Neighbors had complained about noise pollution coming from the plant, saying it had given ulcers to local horses.
The Herald reports Evergreen Solar’s Devens facility is a bit on the noisy side, giving ulcers to local horses. I smell a defense application.
